The North Georgia Business Connection

The North Georgia Business Connection is a North Georgia networking organization that we are a member of. They have chapters in Gainesville, Cumming, Lawrenceville, Suwanee, Buford and Johns Creek.

Blue Light had already been a member for a few months when the director asked our ideas on building a social portal for the organization. The original website for the NGBC was dated and almost impossible to find via search. It served very little purpose for its members and needed dynamic tools to serve its growing chapter members and administrators. Assisting there current members and spreading the word for new members was key to there future growth.

We got to work thinking about what would be the ideal virtual environment for chapter members to engage in. After a 6 months of planning, betta testing and troubleshooting the NGBC now have a portal teaming with activity. Members now can send SMS messages, receive referrals, and communicate directly with each other. Their account lets them edit and modify their profile in the NGBC directory and engage with the group. Administrators and chapter consultants now have dynamic tools to manage organization members, chapters, billing and internal communication. We added goodies like SMS messaging, marketing automation, events management, ecommerce subscriptions and custom chapter statistics to the new web application. A clean streamlined design followed making this project a gamechanger for the NGBC!
